Disney’s LILO & STITCH live-action movie to be directed by Dean Fleischer-Camp – Up News Info

Disney has hired Dean FleischerCamp to direct their upcoming live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch. His name might not sound familiar to you, but he’s the director of the recently released indie film Marcel the shod shell. I haven’t seen this movie yet, but it looks like a very weird but lovely movie.

The project was announced in 2018 with a newcomer Mike Van Waes write the script. The studio is now looking to hire Chris Kekaniokalani Luminouswho is in final negotiations to try out the new script.

The original film is such a wonderful film. It was set in Hawaii and told the story of the bond formed between a lonely young girl named Lilo and a lovable but dangerous alien named Stitch, who was designed to be a force of destruction. The film’s central theme is family bonding, but the story also includes Lilo and Stitch on the run after chasing aliens and social workers.

This upcoming film is intended to be a live-action/CG hybrid. I’m not the biggest fan of these live-action Disney remakes, but it will be interesting to see how Fleischer-Camp brings this story to life.

Have any of you seen Marcel the shod shell? Do you think this director will do a good job with the film?
