“The award qualifies filmmaker Bobo Khuraijam to present his documentary project ‘Re-Inkarnation’ at the prestigious Doc Edge International Film Festival, to be held in New Zealand next year (www.docedge.nz). an encouraging sign for documentary filmmakers from Manipur to get such an award at an international project forum like Dhaka Doc Lab,” the MSFDS said.

The award was announced online at the Dhaka Doc Lab closing ceremony by DocEdge New Zealand representative Alex Lee. Re-Inkarnation shares the award with two other projects, namely “In Search of the Morning Star” and “Untying The Knot”, a South Asian project and an Asia-Pacific project respectively.

This year’s edition of the Dhaka Doc Lab ran from August 18 to September 10, 2022 in a hybrid format. Bobo Khuraijam’s Re-Inkarnation was selected from eight South Asian projects as well as three Asia-Pacific projects.
