Grantchester: Robson Green reveals there’s a ‘secret’ under his hat
Robson Green has revealed he is lining up a TV return with former co-star Jerome Flynn.
The duo were huge stars together in the 90s, appearing in the hit ITV drama Soldier Soldier for five series and then topping the pop charts with Unchained Melody and I Believe.
The duo have barely worked together since, but Robson said: “There might be something, you’re the first to hear that, in the air with me and Jerome coming soon. A television series.
“We had a meeting and it went well.
Calling Jerome, 58, not just a friend but a “brilliant actor”, Robson added: “Everyone’s seen that on Ripper Street and Game of Thrones, but also on stage he’s amazing.”

When asked if the show would be a fiction or a documentary, he added, “It could be a hybrid…let’s see.”
Robson’s work without his pal includes the ITV series Grantchester, in which he plays Det Insp Geordie Keating.
At the Cheltenham Festival on Friday, Robson, 57, said another series was planned and a film had been discussed.
But the work dried up so much during the lockdown that Robson considered becoming a naval architect again. He said, “I thought, ‘Am I going back to designing cases?’ But luckily the pandemic is easing a bit.
